Accommodation for the 8th AMATA conference is close to the centre of Dunedin in the 4-star Scenic Circle Southern Cross Hotel. Dating back to 1883, the Southern Cross hotel now blends Dunedin's distinctive charm and heritage with the modern day comforts of a world-class hotel.

Southern Cross hotel is located in the heart of the city, just a short walk to the Octagon and the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, conference venue for the 8th MATA Annual Meeting. It is also within easy reach of the railway station, theatres and shops. The Hotel offers an excellent range of accommodation rooms that are gracefully decorated and come with an array of in-room amenities. We have reserved a selection of Twin-share and Single rooms. If you know who your room-sharing partner is, please indicate that in the database with registration.

Please book your accommodation early, as there are University graduation functions on and accommodation is at a premium in the City on some of the conference nights. For sharing purposes the nights of the ccnference are: 11, 12, 13 November.

Guests can choose from an extensive array of dining options available at the 2 onsite restaurants, and are also welcome to drop into the Ports O'Call Bar to unwind with a fine drink or meet with friends.

The hotel has undergone a recent refurbishment with an upgrade of all standard guest rooms, the Carlton Restaurant and public areas.
